Abstract

|
|
Aberrant forms of bacteria, large filamentous organisms with central enlargement, were observed in urine obtained from three patients for routine urinalysis. Two strains of Enterobacter cloacae and one strain of Escherichia coli were isolated
from
urine
cultures of these patients. Two of the patients had received unknown antibiotics, whereas the third case did not receive antibiotic therapy. The clinical significance of the aberrant forms of bacteria is still not well known.
